Carol Vorderman Says She Chooses To Have Multiple Lovers Rather Than Just One

Countdown legend Carol Vorderman seems to have reinvented herself as some kind of Kardashian-style MILF in recent years, having enjoyed the attention anytime the internet went into meltdown over her “accidental” paparazzi pics.

Not one to shy away from sex symbol status, 61-year-old Carol has gone into some detail about her busy love life and the philosophy behind having multiple shag buddies:

“Our mothers told us that we should marry when we were still 18 or 19 or 20, so we grew up with that convention that you should find one partner for life. My view is not quite like that.

Half of first marriages end in divorce, and nearly three quarters of second marriages end in divorce. So I prefer to live my life in chapters.”

She went on to say she has lived ‘a life which is much freer’ over the last decade or so, since she was ‘about 50’:

“I’ve never felt freer. So I have ignored the looking for one person and I have a number of what I’ve called ‘special friends’.”

Following her divorce, Vorderman said that she doesn’t ‘really want to marry again’, or ‘live with a man again’ and have to ‘look after him all the time’.

“This is a time to break this nonsense taboo, which is a person should only be looking for one other person that satisfies everything in their life. That’s hell.”

Vorderman suggests she is currently in a relationship with a number of partners, saying they ‘don’t know each other’ but know of each other:

“It’s a very honest relationship. One of them has gone on for many more years than my marriage. Yeah, it’s over 10 years. Another is seven. He’s an astronaut. He rang me from the space station.

They’re not looking for love, they’re looking for companionship, looking for friendship, it may turn into love. The age is really immaterial, but my experience suggests that somebody roughly in your age bracket. You have more in common.”

Go Carol Go! Fair play on the independent mindset and lifestyle and having loads of sex. Can only hope current Countdown girl Rachel Riley follows her example.
