Earlier today, GB News announced it was suspending Laurence Fox after he went on a weird rant about female journalist Ava Evans, with the platform doing damage control ever since the interview aired last night.

Host Dan Wootton, who giggled along as Fox made his remarks, also shared a Tweet explaining how much he regretted the exchange and that he didn’t find it funny at all. Unfortunately for him, Laurence Fox has the receipts in form of private text messages between the pair, which say otherwise:

How awkward. Seems Fox is one of those ‘if I’m going down, you’re going down with me’ type of guys. Which I guess is fair enough as Wootton has already throw him under the bus, so why not pull Wootton down with him? Have at it, lads!

In response to the news that GB News was suspending him, Fox also shared the following:

A phone call might have been polite. By matter of interest for the audience contributors do a pre interview before going on, so they knew exactly what I intended to say. I fully defend the the home of free speech’s right to capitulate to the mob…

Seems a bit weird to insist on politeness after starting an impromptu ‘would you bang Ava Evans?’ segment on GB News. Here’s a screenshot of this pre interview he had with the GB News team on Whatsapp:

Well, in fairness, saying “what man would ever want to be in a relationship with…” isn’t quite the same as what Fox eventually came out with on the show. But nice try, Lozza!

He’s also just Tweeted again as I was about to hit Publish:

Something tells me Laurence Fox is about to dig an even deeper grave for himself. Live or not, he always ends up putting his foot in it.

For the time Laurence Fox’s son told him that he ‘needed his consent’ to kiss him goodnight, click HERE. No wonder he’s so vexed?
