There’s been a few quotes flying around from Britney Spears’s new memoir ahead of its release this week, and most of them seem to involve what a pr1ck Justin Timberlake is (how he dumped her over text, how he played the victim to the media when they broke up, etc).

In this latest excerpt, Britney describes Justin Timberlake as a massive dork who tried really hard to fit in with black people, and recalled an incident where they were walking around New York and bumped into R&B legend Ginuwine.

Britney writes: “One day J [Justin] and I were in New York going to parts of town I had never been to before. Walking our way was a guy with a huge, blinged-out medallion. He was flanked by two giant security guards. J got all excited and said, so loud, ‘Oh yeah, fo’ shiz, fo’ shiz! Ginuwine, what’s up homie?”

It’s even funnier when you hear Oscar winner Michelle Williams narrate the passage in the audio version of the book:

Oh dear. Now I admit I absolutely loved N’SYNC and Backstreet Boys back in the day, but looking back you can absolutely picture Justin Timberlake saying something like that with no irony whatsoever. Imagine if he tried pulling off these canerows in 2023? One way ticket to Cancel City:

Well anyway, it’s no surprise JT has been reportedly dreading the release of Britney’s book if these are the sorts of anecdotes she’s sharing about him. Of course, the stories are from decades ago, but it’s probably fair enough that Britney finally has her say on the relationship after Timberlake came out of it looking squeaky clean (unfairly so, in many people’s eyes). Fo shiz! Fo shiz, homie!

Elsewhere in the book, Britney describes having sex with Colin Farrell as ‘like being in a street fight‘. What, no similar praise for JT?
