Belle Delphine is one of the weirdest people on the internet and I think that everyone knows that most of the content she posts is going to be highly sexualised, yet people are calling her out massively for posting a bunch of BDSM content without a trigger warning.

Obviously this post is going to feature some of that content, so if you feel like you might be triggered by anything involving BDSM or rape fantasies or anything like that then please don’t read this and end up cancelling Sick Chirpse as well. Thanks.

Anyway, people were getting a bit up in arms because Belle posted a series of four images captioned ‘my perfect first date’ which featured her being tied up, gagged, thrown in the boot of a car and then being forced to have sex with her kidnapper against her will. Take a look below – if you’re not triggered – and see what you think:

(there’s another one I didn’t put here because it really is a bit too much but you can click on her Twitter if you really want to see it. Up to you and comes with a very clear trigger warning here)

Yeah, I can see why that could be upsetting to some people but I don’t think it’s that bad and if you’re following Belle Delphine then you kinda expect to hear about weird sex shit all the time so personally I don’t think it’s that bad. However, I do appreciate that there are people that won’t share my opinion about these things and their voices need to be heard, so it probably would be better for everyone if she had added a content warning/trigger warning on the post. It seems obvious that this kind of content could be problematic and Belle probably should have thought of that before posting it.

Obviously a load of people were quick to call her out about this and question whether she should be doing this:

Yeah, I gotta say that all those people do have a bit of a point as well. Strangely enough though, Belle hasn’t bowed to her critics over this issue and has instead decided to issue the following lengthy statement justifying her actions:

There is nothing wrong with enjoying powerplay and BDSM where both people are consensual. I think saying because I enjoy consensual non-consent is promoting rape, is the same as the argument that violence in video games promotes violence, I made it very clear in the caption of my photo, and anything written about it that I was enjoying it and that is was consensual, I never said the word rape, or anything against my will. This is what other people have put onto it.

I enjoy the idea of being tied up and used (with my consent, obviously). Another thing that people have said, is that I’m trying to dress like a child, which to me is insane. I felt like dressing vintage that day and even styled my hair in a beehive that was very common for women of that time. All the clothes I wear are made for adults, so the only thing that people can comment on maybe is the fact that I’m wearing a dress? It’s very confusing for me.

No one likes rape, no one wants rape to exist. Saying that I support rape is the same as saying that 50% of the female population does, because if you look at statistics based upon this (from studies done over the last 30 years, including new studies) a lot of women have powerplay/rape fantasies in the exact same way. I consented to being tied up and to having rough sex.

I am not apologising for anything, what I did wasn’t wrong, and much more normal than people think. Look at one of the most common sexual outfits and fantasies, schoolgirl. If you wear that are you promoting paedophilia now? The front page of porn websites include fantasy scenario’s of every different kind you can think of. Incest, step-mom, teacher etc. Just because someone likes the fantasy of something, doesn’t mean they want it in real life. Sex is complex and explorative, but should always be consensual.

I post a lot of sexual stuff to my twitter, because it’s for my Onlyfans, people who are sensitive to kinks and sexual content shouldn’t be following me, I’ve made it very clear that I’m posting hard-core porn.

Again, I can kind of see both sides of the argument here but I think it probably would be easier for everyone involved if Belle did post some kind of warning and it isn’t exactly hard for her to do this. Let’s hope that she’s learned her lesson for future content, although this is a very murky subject at the best of times. The more we speak about it, the more people can learn and understand what is and isn’t acceptable though, so at least this post may have helped facilitate that conversation. It’s all a learning process.

For more of the same, check out that NSFW music videos he released last year. Maybe that should come with a trigger warning as well.
