Ann Widdecombe Died ‘After Being Hit On The Head With A Hammer 21 Times’

Awful new detail in the Ann Widdecombe murder case – she was hit over the head with a hammer 21 times, prosecutors told Westminster Magistrates’ Court today.

Ann, 78, was found by her gardener lying face down on her kitchen floor with severe head injuries the next day.

Prosecutor Kashif Malik told the court than Joshua Kerry, 28, allegedly pulled up outside Ann’s house as she was eating lunch and entered through the front door.

He allegedly walked into Ann’s kitchen and hit her 21 times with a hammer.

Kerry is then said to have tipped Ann out of her chair and taken a wallet out of her handbag before leaving and driving off.

According to the prosecution, he was only inside her home for 2 minutes.

Two days after his arrest for Ann Widdecombe’s murder, Kerry was additionally arrested on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism, but has not been charged with this offence.

He apparently had newspaper clippings of Nigel Farage and Reform UK pinned on the walls of his house in Rotherham.

Frank Ferguson, Chief Crown Prosecutor of the CPS Special Crime and Counter Terrorism Division said last night: ‘We have decided to prosecute Joshua Kerry for murder following a police investigation into the death of Ann Widdecombe in Haytor, Dartmoor.

‘Police enquiries into the defendant’s motives are ongoing, including a potential political or terrorist connection.

‘Our prosecutors have worked closely with the police to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring this case to court, and we will continue working with them as their investigation progresses.

‘We remind all concerned that proceedings against the defendant are active and he has the right to a fair trial.

‘It is vital that there should be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information which could in anyway prejudice these proceedings.’

Just sickening to think about really. I know Ann Widdecombe held some deeply unpopular and controversial beliefs, but even her biggest haters would hopefully agree that she didn’t deserve to endure such a horrific end to her life.

It says a lot about Joshua Kerry that he (allegedly) chose to target a 77-year-old lady who lived alone out of the a whole raft of right wing figures he could have harmed, and to kill her in such brutal fashion? This guy is one sick fvck. Here’s hoping justice is served promptly.
