It’s been one year since the tragic shooting death of cinematograher Halyna Huchins on the set of the movie ‘Rust’, with Alec Baldwin still set to face criminal charges for pulling the trigger on what he believed was a prop gun.

For some reason, Baldwin thought it was a good idea to post this on Instagram earlier…

Posting a throwback photo of the woman you accidentally killed on the anniversary of her death? With the caption ‘one year ago today’ like a teenager reminiscing on Santorini? Just a little bizarre. Naturally, Baldwin is getting hammered for this on social media…

It just shows how out of touch Hollywood celebrities are with real life that Alec Baldwin could think that posting this was in any way a good idea. Then again, this is a guy who gave an interview shortly after the shooting claiming he never pulled the trigger and that the gun must have fired itself; a claim the FBI rubbished in their investigation.

Obviously the whole thing was a horrible accident and Baldwin isn’t completely at fault. I guess he posts stuff like this to remind us all that he feels terribly about the whole thing. I’m not sure Hutchins’ family and friends would appreciate the move though. Maybe just give them a call or write them a letter privately instead?

‘Rust’ will resume filming in January, after its production company agreed to settle the wrongful death lawsuit brought by Hutchins’ family. You can catch footage of Baldwin in the aftermath of the shooting HERE.
