‘Just Stop Oil’ are really ramping up their efforts to be heard at the moment, defacing famous pieces of art all over the world and now it seems like a waxwork of King Charles has become their latest target.

29 year old Tom Johnson and 20 year old Eilidh McFadden bought tickets to Madama Tussauds this morning and then proceeded to whip out a chocolate cake and smash it into the waxwork of King Charles’ face. They then made one of their little speeches before being promptly arrested by the Metropolitan Police.

Here’s the footage:

The science is clear.

The demand is simple: just stop new oil and gas. It’s a piece of cake.

Damn I wish they had hired someone better to film that because you can’t really hear what either of them are saying. I suppose it doesn’t help that babies are screaming and someone is actively asking them not to stand there. Not really showing too much respect for their protest are they?

Anyway, I have gotta say that for once I kinda like this stunt because it does look really funny when they slam those chocolate cakes into the waxwork’s face. Isn’t it kind of a weird target though because Charles is a big climate change advocate?

Not sure if it’s too wise to vandalise waxworks that cost £200,000 to make either, but these protesters do seem pretty good at not actually damaging anything that they attempt to deface, so let’s hope that’s the same for them here. Sure they know what they’re doing, right?

For more of the same, check out these photographs from the world’s worst waxworks museum. Yeowch.
