Olivia Wilde Speaks Out On Making Jordan Peterson Cry

Back in 2022, Olivia Wilde gave an interview where she called Jordan Peterson ‘insane’ and a ‘pseudo-intellectual hero to the incel community’, and revealed that the villain of Don’t Worry Darling (Chris Pine’s character) was based on him.

When asked about her comments on Piers Morgan’s show, Jordan Peterson started crying. Here’s a reminder:

Well, a few years on, Olivia Wilde has gone on Louis Theroux’s podcast where they discussed incels and the manosphere and toxic masculinity and such, prompting Wilde to reference making Peterson cry and having another pop at him with Louis:

Wilde says: “I was quite harsh about Jordan Peterson and then he went on Piers Morgan and cried.”

Theroux: “[Peterson] said he was thinking of those ‘lonely young men dying for a lack of an encouraging word.'”

Wilde: “‘Lack of an encouraging word’ is so absurd. I’d say there is a large, booming word of encouragement happening for these young men all the time. Which is ‘this world is yours and you are entitled to it’. Which I think is deeply ingrained in our society and the idea that they need a reminder or encouragement that they deserve more is ludicrous.”

Have to say, it’s a little ironic that they’re banging on about toxic masculinity and then go on to mock Jordan Peterson for crying. To also fob off the idea that young men are struggling with confidence and mental health in this day and age? Surprised Louis didn’t challenge her on that, to be honest.

Now look, there are plenty of reasons why Peterson is an absolute twerp, but there’s nothing wrong with telling incels to get their lives together and take responsibility for themselves, is there? There are clips of Peterson in which he straight up tells the incel types that the women who find them undesirable are right, and that they need to sort out their lifestyles and attitudes if they want any hope of succeeding with women or with life in general. Sounds like pretty solid advice, doesn’t it?

Well anyway, hopefully he doesn’t see this Louis interview and start crying again. Where is he hiding nowadays, anyway?
