Tom Hardy Is Dropping A Rap Album Amid Uncertain Future On ‘MobLand’
It looks like Tom Hardy may be entering the mid-life crisis stage of his life as he’s about to drop his debut rap album, on which he’ll be collaborating with East Coast supergroup Czarface.
Hardy, 48, will go by his rap persona Frankie Pulitzer, on the album titled Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer, out on August 28.
It’s actually not even his first foray into rapping, as proper Hardy fans will know he actually had a record deal in the 90s as a teenager and ended up recording “loads of stuff” that was never released. Here’s a clip:

On his short-lived rap career, Hardy said: “Because I come from a nice middle-class neighborhood it was a very hard sell. And I wasn’t very good.”
Well, it looks like he’s giving it another go, and why not? He’s already crushed it as an actor and is set for life financially, so he’s in a position to do whatever he wants, including living out his childhood dream of dropping a rap album.
Aside from Czarface (Inspectah Deck of Wu-Tang Clan, 7L & Esoteric), the album will also feature collaborations with Busta Rhymes, Method Man, and El-P, which sounds pretty sick.
Will definitely give this album a listen when it drops at the end of August, especially if Hardy is rapping in his Bane voice. He’s got to do that on at least one track, surely.
