Reform UK Is Hiring A Vetting Officer After Losing Swathes Of New Councillors

Reform UK has posted a job vacancy for a Vetting Officer following a string of resignations, suspensions, and conduct scandals among its newly-elected councillors.

  • Glenn Gibbins (Hylton Castle Ward) who said that ‘Nigerians should be melted down to fill potholes.’
  • Derek Bullock (Hulton) who wrote that we should ‘shoot the p*kis’.
  • Graham Holland (Blackfen & Lamorbey) who claimed that ‘Nigerian scammers’ wrote the racist posts on his Twitter.
  • Stuart Prior (Essex City) who called white people ‘the master race’ and said ‘immigrants are cancer.’
  • Stephen Mousdell (Haydock) who has a secret gay porn OnlyFans account.

To avoid this sort of thing happening in future, Reform is now advertising a Vetting Officer vacancy on its website, looking for a ‘meticulous and highly organised’ candidate to ‘carry out background checks, social media audits, and reputational risk assessments on prospective candidates standing for election under the Reform UK banner.’

Responsibilities include conducting ‘background checks, social media reviews, and due diligence on prospective candidates’, identifying and assessing ‘reputational risks, escalating serious concerns to senior leadership, and maintaining ‘accurate, confidential records of all vetting activity.’

The role is based in Westminster and the salary is £32,000-£40,000.

What’s interesting is that many Reform voters would agree with the sorts of things these councillors were posting on social media. Racist Tweets are certified vote winners! So they’re now in a bit of a pickle because this new Vetting Officer will have to decide what level of racism is appropriate before letting future members run for council.

As for the gay porn star, I’m not sure his “lifestyle choice” was necessarily a dealbreaker, but probably one he should declare in future. After all, Bonnie Blue herself is Reform to the bone!
