MAGA Influencer & Boyfriend Charged After ‘Racist Assault’ On London Underground

Remember Melissa Rein Lively and Philipp Osterman, the couple who fled the UK after allegedly racially abusing and assaulting a woman at Bond Street Underground station?

Well, they’ve now been charged and are due to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 19 May, reports the BBC.

At the time of the incident last year, the victim claimed she had been walking into Bond Street Underground Station when her pushchair collided with a woman who walking ahead of her.

The man then reportedly began shouting racial abuse at the victim, before the woman grabbed her hair.

The victim, who was with her two kids and sister, tried to defend herself, but then man then whipped out what he claimed was ‘pepper-spray’ and blasted it in the family’s direction. They then verbally abused the family some more before leaving the area.

Before British Transport Police could even bother to make an appeal for information, the suspects had left the U.K., but the internet then promptly identified them as MAGA supporter and ‘anti-woke’ PR executive Melissa Rein Lively, 40, and venture capitalist Philipp Ostermann, 37, who is the associate director of Munich-based private equity company called Aequita.

British Transport Police confirm: ‘Philipp Ostermann, aged 37, and a German national, has been charged with two Racially Aggravated Public Order offences and a further Public Order offence.

‘Melissa Rein Lively, aged 40, and a US national, has been charged with one count of Assault by Beating.

‘The first hearing is scheduled to take place at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 19 May.’

I believe they are now obligated to return to the U.K. to face these charges next week, if they’re not already here. Probably thought they had got away with it once their vacation was over and they had returned home, but Reddit did its job (well, the police’s job) and now it looks like they’re going to have to face the music.

No doubt they’ll spin it like they’re victims of the “woke” U.K. government who won’t tolerate its citizens being racially abused/assaulted, although to be fair, being named and shamed on the internet is probably a worse punishment than anything that could happen to them in court. Let’s see how it plays out on Tuesday.
