British Woman Shot By Dad In Texas After ‘Arguing About Donald Trump’
A British woman who was shot dead by her dad while visiting his home in Texas had argued with him about President Trump earlier that day. Can you guess which side her dad was on?
Lucy Harrison, 23, from Warrington, Cheshire, was shot in the chest on 10 January last year at her father’s home in Prosper, near Dallas.
Local police investigated the death as manslaughter but no criminal case was brought against her father, Kris Harrison, after a Grand Jury decided it did not need to go to trial.

Back in the UK however, an inquest at Cheshire Coroner’s Court heard there was a “big argument” about Trump, who was about to be inaugurated to begin his second term.
Lucy’s boyfriend Sam Littler, who had travelled to the US with her, said she would become upset when her dad went into MAGA mode or spoke about owning a gun.
Littler said on the morning of hear death, Lucy had asked her dad (below) during a row about Trump: “How would you feel if I was the girl in that situation and I’d been sexually assaulted?”

Her dad said he had two other daughters who lived with him in the States, so it wouldn’t bother him that much.
Littler added: “Kris and Lucy ended up having quite a big argument, which led to Lucy running upstairs and being upset.”
Later that day, about half an hour before they were due to leave for the airport, Lucy was in the kitchen when her dad took her by the hand and led her into his ground floor bedroom.
About 15 seconds there was a loud bang and Kris Harrison began screaming for his wife, Heather.
Littler said: “I remember running into the room and Lucy was lying on the floor near the entrance to the bathroom and Kris was just screaming, just sort of nonsense.”
Harrison claims his gun ‘went off’ as he was showing it to his daughter because she had asked to see it.

In their evidence, Lucy’s boyfriend and mum, Jane Coates, both insisted she would not have been interested in seeing her father’s gun.
Kris Harrison had previously been to rehab for alcohol addiction and said he had drunk a ‘small’ carton of wine which he had finished at about 2pm, around 45 minutes before the shooting.
It’s really difficult to understand how a Grand Jury decided that these was no case to prosecute. An alcoholic, diehard MAGA dad who constantly argued with his liberal, gun-hating British daughter, takes her to his bedroom and accidentally shoots her while showing off his gun at her request?
Even if it was an accidental shooting, isn’t it still manslaughter?
Will be interesting to see what the inquest finds because it just makes no sense whatsoever. Then again, it is Texas which is basically Trump country. Fancy being able to shoot someone dead and just getting away with it?
Seems to be happening quite a bit over there.
