TikToker Gets Black Henna Mike Tyson Face Tattoo In Thailand, Finds Out It’s Illegal & Leads To Permanent Scarring

A TikToker who got a black henna Mike Tyson face tattoo in Thailand is regretting his decision after it started “burning into his face” and professionals told him it might be permanent.

Influencer Nick Nayersina thought he was getting a temporary tattoo in Bangkok, but his face soon began to “blister, scar, and ooze.” He then discovered that black henna is illegal in the US, and a doctor warned him that he could be left with a “full blister scar” because of his skin’s reaction to the henna.

Nick explained: “Last night we went out and for some reason had the ‘great’ idea of all getting black henna ‘Mike Tyson’ tattoos. I didn’t know that black henna is illegal in the U.S. and can lead to permanent scarring and infection on your face.

“My whole tattoo is blistering and oozing. I might have a permanent Mike Tyson tattoo on my face,” he emphasized. “I’m kind of freaking out, but I’m trying to keep my cool as much as I can right now … but, this s–t is no joke.”

Para-phenylenediamine, an ingredient that gives black henna its darker color, is only approved for use in hair dye because it can cause “intense itching, redness of the skin, blistering, and in some cases scarring.” I guess no one gave Nick the memo, but in fairness, how the hell was he supposed to know?

Oh well, at least he looks like a total badass in the meantime…

Stumbled across this absolute horror story while researching Nick’s situation – yikes:

All joking aside, I really hope that doesn’t happen to Nick’s face. Can you imagine?

On the flipside, there was a lad from the UK who made the exact same mistake while on holiday, and his face has… almost returned to normal since then:

I’m sure it’ll be fine. Good luck, Nick!
