Jack Nicklaus Disses Johnny Miller By Nailing A 102 Foot Putt He Said Was Impossible

Now that Jack Nicklaus has retired from golf it looks like he’s gone into designing golf courses, which is a pretty sick way to spend your retirement if you’re a pro golfer. That doesn’t mean he hasn’t still got it though, as this video proves.

Some guy called Johnny Miller is playing on Nicklaus’ golf course (lovingly titled The Golf Club and located in Harbour Shores, where it opened in 2010) in the first ever round, when on the 10th hole he had a 102 foot shot to make. Miller wanted to chip the ball closer to the hole for an easier putt, but Nicklaus wasn’t having any of that on his new golf course (Miller would have created divots in the green had he chipped it) and insisted that Miller putted the ball instead.

Miller on the other hand wasn’t having any of this either and refused to take the putt, saying that it was impossible. Nicklaus wasn’t fucking having that either and grabbed his putter and nailed the shot first time, no worries, making Miller look really stupid and forcing him to eat his words at the same time. Gangster.

The best thing about it is that Nicklaus doesn’t even line the shot up, even though it’s insanely hard. He just kinda walks over there and hits it and gets exactly the right amount of fade and curve on it for it to work and looks like a complete badass in the process. I don’t generally use the word badass when talking about golf, but in this case it’s fully deserved.
