There are a few skills that you need to posses before entering a rap battle. One of them is the ability to rap.

The dude in this video is called Young Steady and he seems to have forgotten how to produce the rhymes that got him in front of the camera in the first place. This video’s doing the rounds at the moment so his street cred is sinking deeper and deeper into the ground with every view and like this YouTube hit gets.

I didn’t really know what to expect with a title like ‘Worst hype man ever’. At first I thought it was going to be some MC dude hosting a DJ’s set who was just ruining the vibe, which happens a lot, but when the video started I thought it was gonna be the fat dude who messes up and who shouldn’t have even been involved in the battle anyway. Turns out that it’s one of the rap battle contestants who completely flops it, and his friend (I think it’s his friend?) can’t stop making weird noises which I can only presume is an attempt to encourage his boy to get into the flow.
