There’s not many people in Hollywood who are as serious and passionate about making blockbuster movies than Steven Spielberg and Tom Cruise, so it was good to see this viral clip of Spielberg giving Cruise his flowers earlier:

In an age where we’re more used to seeing Hollywood types #MeToo each other, it’s nice to see a positive interaction for a change. I don’t think anyone can disagree with what Spielberg is saying there either. The guy is 60 years and is still risking his life over and over to entertain us with crazy stunts that are so much cooler than anything CGI could come up with. Top Gun: Maverick was no exception.
Spielberg and Cruise worked together on War of the Worlds and the somewhat underrated Minority Report. Hopefully they team up again somewhere down the line now that Tom Cruise has singlehandedly rescued cinema. I’m sure Mickey Rourke would be chuffed with that.
