One of the most ridiculous discourses in this country is the landlord v tenant conflict which in fairness does have reasonable arguments on both sides, but could and ultimately probably should be ended by banning people from owning more than one property and controlling the right to be housed.

Anyway, that’s a debate that will never be solved and this video sort of proves why after one landlord from Galway, Ireland becomes so infuriated with his tenant that he ends up sawing through the door of his own house with a chainsaw, screaming that he’ll slice them up in scenes reminiscent of ‘The Shining’. The whole video is even more terrifying and bizarre because the landlord is walking around on crutches, which adds a whole extra dimension of craziness to it. He was actually that mad at his tenant that he hobbled over to the house and then tried to break the door down when he couldn’t even walk properly!

Take a look at the footage below:

Lol (not really lol, but you get what I mean just because the situation is so crazy) what the heck is going on there? It’s like something from ‘The Walking Dead’ or ‘The Last Of Us.’

Anyway, apparently the landlord was accusing the tenant of not paying rent which isn’t a great situation sure, but I don’t think that sawing down the door of the house you own is any way to solve that problem. In any case, the tenant is saying that the bank details he was meant to pay his rent too were changed without his knowledge, so it seems like a fairly easy problem for the pair of them to sort out and that there’s no need to resort to this kind of behaviour.

Sadly it seems as if the landlord is also racist and xenophobic which begs the question as to why he even rented his house out to Muslim tenants, but does explain why he’s so desperate to break in and forcibly evict them. Classic landlordism sadly.

Anyway, here’s what happened after the footage in the video:

I guess it’s good that they did eventually respond but it’s hardly great that there’s a 22 hour response time for a guy threatening you with a chainsaw. What the hell is wrong with the police system over in Galway?Scary.

Anyway just to prove I’m not completely biased towards tenants here, check out this landlord who was left completely horrified after breaking into tenant’s bedroom and seeing what was going on in there. Not for the fainthearted.
