I thought that the fake Madeleine McCann couldn’t really fall any further from her now thoroughly debunked claims of being the most famous missing person of all time, but I suppose I couldn’t imagine her former best friend accusing her of being a paedophile either.

These are the shocking claims that notorious psychic investigator/grifter Dr Fia Johansson is now making though, saying that Julia Wandelt’s phone had indecent images of young children on it and that she was encouraging other young girls to join sex platforms. We reported earlier today that her phone had been confiscated by the Orange County Police Department as part of a global investigation and I suppose we thought that it might be something like this, but it’s kind of crazy seeing it all spelled out like that. Major major plot twist.

Anyway, Julia herself was quick to issue a somewhat confusing statement denying these accusations:

I didn’t have child pornography on my phone. I am not a paedo and I never tried to encourage any teenagers to do anything illegal and bad and disgusting.

I am not a paedo. I am a victim of a paedo.

If there are any indecent images on my phone then they must have been put there by someone else. I bought my phone off someone else.

Just think carefully, if someone is a paedo, I believe this person would never go by himself to a police station or this person would never talk about what I was talking about in public to the whole world because it would be very dangerous for this person.

I will make my name clean because I am not a monster.

That does make sense, but nothing about any of Wandelt’s actions over the past month or so really make sense to anyone but her so I don’t think she can really pull out that card. The way she’s already making excuses by saying pictures might have been put on her phone by someone else isn’t exactly a good look either.

The most shocking part of all this though is how far the relationship between Johansson and Wandelt has deteriorated since her DNA results proved that she wasn’t McCann. Wandelt is accusing Johansson of exploiting her whilst Johansson is saying she’s a paedophile is a truly monumental about turns and it’s only been about a week since the tests came back.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen an association go so south so quickly. A truly wild ride – can’t wait to find out what happens next.
