It’s been hard to keep up with all the drama surrounding ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ as the hype that surrounds the movie seems to have gone into overdrive, thanks to the cast’s appearance at Venice Film Festival and all of them seemingly hating each other.

From what I can gather, director Olivia Wilde started an affair with (the much younger) Harry Styles during the shoot and this led to a lot of tension on set that made everyone involved with the production feel super awkward and weird, especially as many of them were friends with Wilde’s husband Jason Sudeikis. There’s also something about Wilde lying about firing Shia LaBeouf from the movie and Chris Pine and Harry Styles hating each other, but who knows about either of those right now?

However, someone out there has dug up this old TikTok though which seems to be talking about the production of the film as it was happening in real time. They don’t mention the movie directly, but it does have a young blonde actress and an ex British boyband member in it so it seems like pretty much a no brainer that they’re talking about ‘Don’t Worry Darling’.

Have a listen to what they have to say about it below:

@klatschhh That director is wild :/ Story was sent to me. No warranty for correctness. #story #storytime #tea #celeb ♬ Senorita Chicolita – Orchestra Heinz Kiessling

Wow. That’s a lot of allegations but it does kind of make sense that this is why everyone involved in the production seems so annoyed at everyone else. Kinda mad that Wilde just started shagging Styles when she was still with Sudeikis and pretty much stopped directing the movie and left Pugh to do it because she was so besotted with him. I guess that’s the Harry Styles effect though hey?

Whilst we’re here, we probably should say that this happens in movies directed by men – quite often married – all the time and nobody seems to care. Darren Aranofsky and Jennifer Lawrence in ‘Mother’, Luc Besson and Milli Jovovich in ‘The Fifth Element’ and Rupert Sanders and Kristen Stewart in ‘Snow White And The Huntsman’ off the top of my head.

Maybe it’s just so common that it’s not as big news. Or maybe it’s just handled better? I dunno, but I suppose there’s no such thing as bad publicity so ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ will probably end up being the biggest film of the year, despite its current poor Rotten Tomatoes rating. Go figure.

For more of the same, here’s Harry Styles admitting to spitting on Chris Pine live on stage. Gotta be something going on between those two.
