7) Church In A Hill, Luxembourg
This weird little fella is in the Duchy of Luxembourg, that country that everyone has heard of but no one knows anything about. It’s literally built inside of a hill. I bet the heating bills are pretty low with that amount of insulation.
8) Cathedral of Maringa, Brazil
Lastly but not leastly here’s a massive church in Parana, Brazil. It’s more spire than building. Apparently it was inspired by the Russian’s sputnik design and is the tallest church in South America and 16th in the whole wide world. It was built in the 70’s and at night it looks like Las Vegas. I’m not sure god would approve of the gaudiness?
Well, they were my favourite churches, although I haven’t actually visited any of them. They might be rubbish in real life, I don’t know.
