If you’re gonna stab someone and then feel bad about it and drive them to hospital, it’s probably better to stick with that line of thought rather than start stabbing them again on the way to the hospital. In fact, it’s probably better to just be decisive about one course of action in the first place really.
A 34 year old woman named Tracy L. Fleischer from Augusta, Maine couldn’t make up her mind whether she wanted to help her husband or kill him though and so decided to stab him again as she was driving him to the hospital on Friday. It all began over something that she had seen on his Instagram account – I guess that’s so often the cause of fights in relationships these days.
The husband mentioned this to their eldest daughter at lunchtime on the day of the stabbing and the same daughter noticed her mother come back that afternoon with a newly bought kitchen knife. Her husband had previously hid all of the kitchen knives in the house from her due to a history of violence between the two, and I guess she wanted to stab him so much she had to go out and buy a new one. Must have been a pretty naughty Instagram post.
Upon her father’s return from work, the daughter heard him being stabbed by Tracy after she had been sent outside to prevent her from seeing the incident. After hearing her screams, the daughter ran in to the house and pulled her father out of the apartment by his shirt. She also gave him her shirt to stem the bleeding before locking herself in her bedroom because she was scared of her mum. Sounds like a great start to the weekend.

Tracy called two friends to come and pick up her daughters (she has three in total) as she didn’t want them to be involved with the potential murder of their father I guess, and the two friends duly obliged. They said they saw the husband stabbed in the torso bleeding out in the middle of the kitchen and after escorting the three children off the premises they called the police and informed them of the incident and the fact the children may have been a witness to it. Don’t worry about trying to help the dude bleeding to death or anything I guess.
Tracy herself seemed to have had a change of heart by that point too, and decided to call the police for help. She admitted the stabbing and agreed to drive him to hospital, only to end up stabbing him again whilst en route for reasons currently unknown. Probably something he said or a tweet he sent along the lines of ‘My bitch wife just stabbed me’.
She now faces up to 30 years in prison and is currently being held on $100,000 bail before her trial begins. She isn’t allowed to speak to her children either as they’re potential witnesses in her case. The husband is still in intensive care as the knife nicked some vital organs but it’s looking like he’s going to survive. Phew.
Still, what an absolutely awful story. Stab your husband in front of your kids with a brand new kitchen knife because he’s hidden all the old ones, then feel bad and drive him to hospital, only to stab him again on the way there. Their relationship must be the definition of fiery because that is absolutely horrendous behaviour from everyone involved, except the kids.
