At the time of writing this post, The Sun and News International website has been hacked by Lulzsec.

The hacker group is claiming responsibility for the redirection of the Sun Newspaper website to a fake news site claiming the death of News Corp’s mogul Rupert Murdoch. The Sun is a daily UK tabloid newspaper owned by, you guessed it, News Corporation.

Lulzsec claims to have retrieved a number of emails of NewsCorporation’s emails, details of which will be released tomorrow.

Lulzsec is now releasing details of admins usernames and passwords on Twitter, including ex-NoTW Editor Rebecca Brooks.

The Sun and News International’s home pages now direct you to Lulzsec’s Twitter page, with reports that the hacking group originally directed users to a news story about the death of former News Of The World reporter Sean Hoare.

It also appears that Lulzsec have hacked and redirected a page from the News International website (a statement on The Sun, funnily enough) to their own Twitter Page:

The Lulzsec / Anonymous group tweeted on Monday:

“Sun/News of the world OWNED. We’re sitting on their emails. Press release tomorrow.”

This is getting crazier by the minute.
