‘The Odyssey’ Drops New Teaser With Rapper Travis Scott Delivering A Monologue About Odysseus

If you think the “historical accuracy” film snobs were upset about Christopher Nolan’s upcoming ‘Odyssey’ epic before, wait till they hear that mumble rapper Travis Scott has a speaking role in the film.

As far as random cameos nobody asked for goes, this has to be up there:

When did Travis Scott even start acting? Now surely Christopher Nolan of all people would not cast someone who cannot act in one of his most anticipated, monster-budget projects? You have to believe Travis Scott puts in a good performance and wasn’t just thrown in there to get Gen Z/X interested in the movie.

The relationship between Travis and Nolan does make sense though, as the rapper had a track featured on the ‘Tenet’ soundtrack a few years back. Awful film and terrible song, but still, it happened.

Even still, that little teaser was decent and the Odyssey trailer itself looks epic. I’d be very shocked if we don’t have a cinematic masterpiece on our hands when the movie arrives this summer:
