Teacher Who Beamed In Mug Shot After Affair With 17-Year-Old Still With Husband Almost A Decade Later
Almost a decade after her infamous smiling mugshot went viral, former Texas teacher Sarah Fowlkes is reportedly still married to her husband, Hayden Fowlkes. True love prevails!
Back in 2017, Fowlkes, then a 27-year-old biology teacher at Lockhart High School, was arrested for having an inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old student. She had a massive smile on her face in her mugshot photo, which went viral and drew a lot of criticism…

Police reports indicated that Fowlkes and the 17-year-old boy had pet names for themselves: hers was “Lil Mama” and his was “Big Daddy”. Wait, what?
She eventually pleaded guilty, serving 10 days in jail followed by four years of probation, which she completed in 2023.

Despite the scandal and additional allegations of infidelity – including an affair with a 53-year-old colleague – it appears that Fowlkes’s husband has decided to stick by her.
In fact reports say they have “remarried” and reaffirmed their 13-year marriage. Who says love is dead eh?
Now 35, Fowlkes has left education and works in the marketing industry, where she reportedly won a small business award in 2023.

The internet appears to be referring to her loyal husband as a “cuck”, a “simp”, “desperate”, a “loser”, and other unkind terms, but if they’ve managed to work things out, renew their vows and keep going, then fair play to them. Clearly, she must have some extremely redeeming qualities if her husband is able to put up with being so brutally and publicly cuckolded like this, in addition to his wife grinning from ear to ear about it in her mugshot photo.
As for the 17-year-old boy, here’s hoping he can overcome the trauma of living out every 17-year-old schoolboy’s fantasy IRL. It’s been almost 10 years so hopefully he’s gotten over it and doesn’t still suffer horrifying flashbacks every time that mugshot pops up.
