SXSW 2011 DAY 3: CRAYFISH BOILS, DRY-HUMPING AND DIPLO

Day three is eminently more successful.Ai?? I am awake, and at panels from 9:30am.Ai?? The first is about the creative process, with three different writers looking at the same slides from different perspectives.Ai?? They are refreshing, funny and honest.Ai?? John Gruber (from Daring Fireball) steals the show for me ai??i?? heai??i??s engaging and entertaining, and I wish his blog was about something other than technology (Iai??i??m not a technophobe as such, more like a technocanai??i??tbebothered).Ai?? Hotfoot it from the Sheraton (mission) back down to the Hilton for a great panel on fear and creativity.Ai?? Unsure of how the room full of Americans can relate to the talkai??i??they donai??i??t appear to have any fear, and love contributing to the discussion whilst I keep my head down.Ai?? Productive morning gets ruined by a panel about failure.Ai?? Probably the panel I was most looking forward to today, and itai??i??s a waste of time ai??i?? a group discussion that centres around someone who contradicts himself constantly and then says you should work for a company thatai??i??s more interested in creativity than in making money.Ai?? Which is a really nice ideaai??i??if you want to lose your job when the company goes bump.Ai?? But what do I know, hey?Ai?? Luke is also riled, and we realise that not everyone giving talks/doing panels at SXSW is all that qualified to do it.
