Back in the day, you couldn’t really show up to a festival and not catch Mike Skinner in his Birmingham City shirt on the main stage of a festival absolutely tearing it up and dominating everyone else on the line up, but it’s been eight years since we’ve seen that sight after he decided to put The Streets on hiatus for a bit.

We’re pleased to let you know that Mike and The Streets will be heading back to the familiar haunt of Manchester’s Parklife festival this summer On June 8th/9th for a show that’s guaranteed to make your weekend and possibly even your year. The rest of the lineup looks pretty neat as well, with Major Lazer Soundsystem, Stefflon Don, Disclosure Mark Ronson and George Ezra all scheduled to appear.

Tickets for the festival cost just £69.50 for a day and £125 for a weekend pass, although you’ll probably have to add at least a tenner on to each of those prices thank to those fantastic ticket companies that you’ll be purchasing them from. What an absolute racket, but you know it’ll probably be worth it when June rolls around won’t it? Yes, yes it will.

For more of the same, did you hear that The Strokes are headlining a festival this summer too? It really is 2004 all over again.
