Prayers up for porn star/Twitch streamer Adriana Chechik this week as it turns out the injuries she sustained from her foam pit stunt at TwitchCon are way worse than originally thought.

Here’s the incident again in case you missed it:

Doctors already told Adriana the damage was bad; she had broken her back in two places and would need surgery to get a meter rod in for support. The surgery itself revealed the problems were even worse than that though, as Adriana explained in her post-surgery Tweet:

So surgery went well, 5 hrs 30 minutes! More fusions than expected, bones completely crushed & nerve damage to my bladder, hopefully I’ll be able to pee again in the near future. No more squirting probably… had some bleeding around the bone but overall doing good!

Feel so sorry for her, especially given the circumstances. How the hell do you break your back, crush your bones and damage your bladder by jumping into a foam pit? It just makes no sense whatsoever. I guess Twitch built the cheapest, most unsafe, and least fun foam pit in history for this to have gone down this way. It turns out Adriana wasn’t the only person injured either:

How could all these injuries happen at the same event and Twitch still didn’t figure out it was a bad idea to keep allowing people into the foam pit? Absolute muppets. Thoughts and prayers with Adriana and we wish her a speedy recovery. I don’t know if Twitch made her sign something before getting into that foam pit but I’m sure that’s something her people will be looking into as well.
