It doesn’t get talked about enough how good Colin Farrell was as The Penguin in The Batman, but he clearly did something right because The Penguin is now getting his own eight-episode DC Studios spinoff series arriving later this year. Check out the first trailer below:

How good was that? Looks like something straight out of The Sopranos only with Batman characters in it. I still can’t get over that it’s Colin Farrell under all those prosthetics playing The Penguin! How did that not win Best Makeup at the Oscars in 2022? He literally just looks like some random shifty 60-year-old dude, not Colin Farrell playing a famous supervillain.
With The Batman II not hitting cinemas until October 2026 (!), The Penguin should be enough to tide us over for at least a little while. Can’t wait.
