Of all the surefire ways to c0ck up a promising career in the NBA as one of the most exciting up-and-coming prospects in basketball, having explicit photos of you with a 15-year-old girl leak online is right up there.

Oklahoma City Thunder star Josh Giddey, 21, is seen in one leaked video with his arms around high-schooler Liv Cook, 15, while he records a shout out video to her brother (I’m sure he really appreciated that).

Here is the screenshot of the leaked footage and picture of Giddey with the alleged minor:

In the third video, Giddey is heard saying in reference to the girl: “Me and my girl, we’re about to head back to mine.” As if that wasn’t suspicious enough, this screenshot from the underage girl’s Snapchat with the caption “just f***ed Josh Giddey” pretty much puts the nail in the coffin:

Giddey, meanwhile, has blacked out his Instagram display picture and blocked the comments section after fans started going nuts at him. A bit of abuse online (well, a lot of abuse) is the least of his worries though. No doubt he’ll have some explaining to do to the police and an investigation will be launched which will almost certainly destroy his basketball career, and he could even end up giving haircuts in prison like Adam Johnson after his career took a nosedive for pretty much the same thing.

At 21, Giddey is in his third NBA season and a key member of OKC Thunder. He’s absolutely f***ed if these allegations turn out to be true, which, given the evidence, is not looking good for him. Who knows, it could turn out that this girl is of legal age and this has all been one big misunderstanding, or maybe Giddey will wake up tomorrow and realise it was all a bad dream where he slept with a 15-year-old girl despite being a well-known 21-year-old basketball player. I guess we’ll have to see how it plays out in the coming days.
