Monk Avoids Prosecution For Sending Woman ‘Spiritual’ Pictures Of Himself Nude

A Catholic monk has avoided prosecution after sending hundreds of pictures of himself naked on a beach to a holidaymaker.

Brother Titus Keet sent 200 photos to Lisa Love while she was visiting Caldey Island off the coast of Pembrokeshire in Wales.

The photos depicted the 77-year-old monk naked on secluded beaches.

Keet claimed the images were “art” and intended to show his “body in the light” and were “spiritual” rather than sexual.

After initially arresting Keet, prosecutors agreed with him; determining there was “nothing sexual” and deeming the pictures to be of a “spiritual nature,” leading them to drop the case.

Ms Love, 55, says she is ‘sickened’ by the verdict and accused the CPS of siding with Keet because of his religious status.

She said: ‘He says the pictures are art and now the police are agreeing with him that they are spiritual. Tell me where in the Bible it says to prance around naked on a beach.

‘He’s a Catholic monk living in an ancient monastery where they are supposed to pray in silence all day.

‘But he is going to the beach, stripping off in front of a camera and then posting pictures to someone who doesn’t want them. I can only think he’s been let off because he’s a monk.’

Fair point really.

Ms Love has actually known Brother Keet for 15 years, as the mum-of-two had holidayed near the abbey on the island since 2011, where she had previously stayed with her elderly parents.

She became ‘startled’ when he began to send her letters containing indecent photos of himself exercising on beaches.

She complained to the monastery who assured her they had disciplined Keet, but he continued to send her nudes. Maybe they never actually mentioned it to him?

Interestingly, Caldey Island is known for its history of sexual offences, with more than 50 children being abused at the abbey during the 70s and 80s.

Pretty sure if you or me sent 200 unsolicited nudes to someone, we would be in a bit trouble. I guess if you’re a monk you can call your nudes “spiritual” and get away with it? ‘

Ms Love has since submitted a claim under the Victims’ Right to Review scheme.
