Mayor Accused Of Having Sex With Drunk 16-Year-Old At Son’s Pool Party

Another day, another adult female in a position of authority sleeping with a teenage boy. This time, it’s only the mayor of DeRidder, Louisiana. Well, ex-mayor now.

Misty Roberts, 43, is currently in court facing charges of third-degree rape and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, after having sex with a drunk 16-year-old boy at a pool party at her home.

Misty’s son told prosecutors that he saw his mum having sex with his friend through a crack in the window. He is said to have yelled at his mum: “You f***d my best friend.” Which is a hell of a thing for a child to yell at a parent.

He had also text his mum to warn her: ‘he is seventeen’. However, authorities have confirmed the alleged victim was 16 at the time.

Misty’s daughter also told prosecutors that she saw her mum and the teenage boy ‘on top of each other’.

The court heard that after the alleged encounter, the teen’s mum texted Misty to ensure she was not pregnant. Misty replied that she was on birth control – no worries!

Misty’s ex-husband, Duncan Clanton, told jurors she confessed to him directly that she had sex with the teenage boy and that their children had caught them in the act.

Furthermore, a DoorDash driver testified that he accepted a request from ‘Misty C’ to purchase emergency contraception and leave it at Roberts’ front door. 

Jurors were also shown photographs from the party, including images of minors holding drinks near the pool.

Mistry Roberts resigned as mayor of DeRidder, a town of 9,800, days before her 2024 arrest. Amazingly, she’s pleaded not guilty, which is surprising given that her entire family has basically grassed her up.

Of course, if a father had done this to one of his daughter’s friends, he would be going to prison for a very long time. The age of consent in Louisiana is 17, meaning Misty Roberts is legally a nonce, whether the lad consented or not.

Will be interesting to see what kind of sentence the courts impart on Misty Roberts, provided she is found guilty.
