Man ‘Stoned To Death On Kent Beach After Trying To Meet 16-Year-Old Girl’

Three teenagers lured a man to a beach by posing as a 16-year-old girl named “Sienna” and beat him to death with rocks while calling him a ‘f***ing paedophile’, reports Metro.

The trio – a 16-year-old girl and two boys aged 15 and 16 – posed as the girl through text messages, exchanging over 70 texts with him after he gave the girl his number at an arcade two days prior.

Alexander Cashford, 49, had met his killers at the Playtime Arcade in Leysdown-on-Sea, Kent, on August 10 last year, where he gave the girl his business card.

The older boy saved it in his phone under ‘Pedo’ and exchanged texts with him over the next two days, with Cashford believing he was texting a girl named Sienna.

The first text sent from ‘Sienna’ read: ‘Hi it’s the girl from the arcade but to let you know I am 16 if u care about that kind of thing.’

Cashford replied: ‘Whats’ your name? You’re rely pretty.’

Cashford claimed to be 30, knocking 19 years of his age, then asked her if she liked champagne and said he wanted to kiss her.

‘Sienna’ suggested they meet at her empty parents’ home and told him to bring alcohol, heard Woolwich Crown Court.

He travelled to meet the 16-year-old female defendant at around 7pm on August 10 at the seafront, with the two boys following from a distance.

The older boy snuck up behind Cashford and hit him on the back of the head with a bottle.

The jury heard this week how witnesses saw Cashford lying lifeless in the mud while the teenagers threw rocks at his head and body.

In footage played to the court, the girl, who is filming, can be heard shouting: ‘F***ing paedophile, I’m f***ing 16, get him’.

A post-mortem showed he had injuries to his face and head, bruises on his limbs and body, and multiple fractured ribs that had punctured his lung.

It was also found the older boy had shared footage of the attack/murder with three other people on WhatsApp, using the caption: ‘f****d a pedo up lol’.

Prosecutor Kate Blumgart KC told the court: ‘These three defendants did happen by chance to meet Mr Cashford. What happened thereafter however was not by chance.

‘They were so outraged by his interest in “Sienna” that they deliberately planned to meet him and to attack him. This was a joint attack with each of them playing a vital part.’

Obviously, as a 49-year-old man, giving his number to and meeting a 16-year-old girl was an extremely questionable decision from Alexander Rashford, but that doesn’t mean the man should lose his life over it, much less in such brutal fashion, does it?

Usually these ‘paedo hunters’ confront the target, film their mortified reactions, give them a verbal dressing-down and stick the footage online. I think that would have sufficed in this situation too, but the fact they continued lobbing rocks at his body even after he was dead just goes to show it was pure bloodlust.

All three teenagers deny murder – their trial continues tomorrow.
