Jude Bellingham Slaps Argentina Star After England’s 2-1 World Cup Defeat

Jude Bellingham gave Argentina defender Valentin Barco a slap following England’s heartbreaking 2-1 exit at the World Cup last night.

Barco didn’t play a single minute in the actual match, but he still got a piece of the action courtesy of Jude losing his cool for a moment as the Argentines celebrated in front of him:

Looks like Barco may have said something to him there as he joined in the celebrations with his teammates? I doubt Jude just felt like slapping his ginger head for no reason unless he mistook him for Anthony Gordon celebrating with the opponent. Barco is also the youngest/smallest guy on the pitch so that would be even more out of order.

Regardless, Jude and co are just going to have to hold the L on last night. After going 1-0 up England went full on defensive and allowed Argentina to come at them again and again, with Pickford having to make a number of saves as the warning signs increased.

In the end, Argentina found a way through and were deserving winners.

England face France on Saturday for third place and there’s some talk about Bellingham facing a sanction from FIFA and being suspended for the game. Not that it matters too much, but let’s hope not.
