2) Iraq Army Defeat Was Kurd’s Fault

Isis - Conspiracy Theory - Kurdish

The Iraq army had the living shizzle kicked out of them by Isis in the north of Iraq last month. The real reason for the defeat seems to be that the Iraq army is riddled with sectarianism and corruption, they didn’t even try. But the Iraq Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has a different idea, he wants to blame the Kurds who live predominantly in northern Iraq.

The Kurds have had a shocking time of it over the years; for instance Saddam Hussein carried out the largest chemical weapons attack of all time killing or injuring more than 15,000 Kurds, mostly civilians. Plenty of people have tried to wipe them out completely. They don’t need any more fingers pointing at them. Nouri al-Maliki claims that the Kurdish capital Erbil is an Isis HQ and that it was their fault that the army collapsed.

It makes a lot of sense that al-Maliki might play this card, after all he doesn’t want it to look like his army is useless and his leadership shonky. Al-Maliki and the rich folks of Iraq are Shia and many of his followers believe that Saddam’s only failing was that he didn’t entirely wipe them out.
