I don’t know if Hulk Hogan is physically capable of being thrown over the top rope these days, but he’s apparently set for a return at the 2024 Royal Rumble this weekend after teasing his involvement in a short clip on WWE Raw the other night.

The Hulkster, 70, was featured in a special video package where at the end of it he said he ‘might have one’ last run left in him, which would naturally culminate in a Wrestlemania moment to bookend his career. As we all know, the road to Wrestlemania starts with the Royal Rumble, which is pretty convenient because the ageing legend would have to do minimal work with another 29 wrestlers around to bump for him.

The only way I can actually see this happening is if Hulk Hogan won the Royal Rumble, so he wouldn’t have to get tossed out of the ring and obliterate his hip on live TV. Having a 70-year-old Hulk Hogan win the Royal Rumble in 2024 is absolutely something the WWE would do, so as surreal as it would be to watch, it wouldn’t actually be too shocking.

He can then go on to face Roman Reigns for the WWE title at Wrestlemania, although it does seem that they’re building to a Roman Reigns Vs The Rock showdown. Maybe they could do a triple threat match, or a four-way match with someone like Cody Rhodes involved? Would be useful seeing as there’s no way Hogan can work a singles matches on his own these days, and The Rock will undoubtedly be carrying some ring rust himself.

Anyway, I don’t actually expect this to happen but who knows? The Royal Rumble is always full of surprise entrants and is the one WWE event of the year that even lapsed fans like myself will tune in for because anything can happen.

Amazingly, they’ve got the full 1992 Royal Rumble up on YouTube. Watch below:
