Harry And Meghan Netflix Show Doctored Katie Price Footage For Trailer

Harry and Meghan’s bombshell Netflix documentary hasn’t even made it to screens yet and people are already finding a bunch of holes in the trailer, a few of which are really baffling. Before we run through them, check out the trailer for yourself below:

At the point where Harry accuses the press of a ‘feeding frenzy’ targeting Meghan, a montage of images shows the couple in various situations interspersed with shots showing packs of paparazzi. A brief shot of the couple being photographed attending an event is followed by another brief clip of paparazzi rushing to capture something happening off-screen.

Turns out the building shown in the clip is Crawley Magistrates’ Court, and footage is from outside the court the day Katie Price was sentenced for drink-driving in December last year. WTF? Here’s a closer look:

The same trailer includes footage of paparazzi crowding a cracked-open limousine door which was shot at an equally unrelated scene all the way in America. Turns out this clip was taken from archive video of Donald Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen leaving his New York apartment for prison after he was jailed for tax fraud. Again, nothing to do with Harry or Megan at all, but it is played immediately after a shot of the Sussexes nervously looking out of a vehicle.

The Netflix trailer also includes a shot of paparazzi crowding around a metal barrier taken at a Harry Potter premiere years before Meghan and Harry even met. In fact, no royals even attended the event.

Furthermore, even the actual images of Meghan and Harry are misused during the trailer, including this one where they’re carrying young Archie at a distance:

Robert Jobson, royal editor of the Evening Standard, said the ‘photograph used by Netflix and Harry and Meghan to suggest intrusion by the press is a complete travesty’. He Tweeted:

‘It was taken from a accredited pool at Archbishop Tutu’s residence in Cape Town. Only 3 people were in the accredited position. H & M agreed the position. I was there.

We were covering an official visit where they had taxpayer funded protection and all the trappings. This is just nonsense. The palace was not part of some “set up”. No conspiracy here, just lies, and misuse of photos taken from pools.’

Oh dear. Naturally, the Harry & Meghan haters are having an absolute field day with this information, talking about how the Sussexes have been “caught out” and whatnot. In fairness though, it’s not like the couple were sat there editing the trailer themselves on a Macbook or something. You might say they’re using these stock photos/clips to convey the message that that’s the sort of thing they were dealing with in the UK. Then again, why do they have to convey that message using examples of it happening to other people and passing it off as their own? Haven’t they experienced the same treatment? Isn’t this what the documentary is all about?

Well anyway, we’ll have to see how the documentary itself plays out when both parts release on Netflix later this month. Let’s hope there’s some juicy information in there and not another Oprah-style pity party for the couple.
