Garfield: The Movie is currently sitting at 14% on Rotten Tomatoes, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t get an exciting, action-packed show if you go to watch it, as these movie-goers at cinema in Leon, Spain found out this week:

Always sucks when you get into a fight with a random dude who then turns out to be a trained boxer. Antonio Barrul, a six-time national amateur champion who turned professional last year, said the brawl was sparked by threats from another audience member. And I thought it was because they were arguing over who loves Garfield more?

Barrul admitted he “couldn’t control” himself and has since apologised for the fight, which will be little consolation for his battered and bruised opponent. Pretty embarrassing to get beaten up like that during a screening of Garfield of all movies, rather than say, 300 or Fight Club or something. How do you even manage to get into an argument/fight in a near-empty cinema? Just a sad state of affairs all round.
