Fetishist Who Dumped Soiled Adult Nappies Outside Nurseries Beaten Up In Prison

You may remember the self-proclaimed ‘adult baby diaper lover’ who was arrested last year after dumping bags of soiled nappies outside three nurseries in Newcastle and climbing into their bins.

Abbi Taylor, 46, who identifies as a woman, also smeared poop on milk bottles and the fire escape of one nursery during a ‘bizarre’ series of incidents.

This week, Taylor was spared jail after Newcastle Crown Court heard he was beaten up while on remand, having been held in a men’s prison and being brutally misgendered in court as she was reportedly referred to with both male and female pronouns during sentencing last Friday.

In the end though, things turned out quite favourably for the nappy fetishist, as she received a two-year sentence suspended for two years, after the judge heard he had a ‘particularly difficult time’ in custody.

This means that as long as Taylor avoids doing anything weird around nurseries or children for the next two years (as well as other crimes, obviously), they’ll avoid punishment altogether. Well, aside from the year already spent in a men’s prison where he was beaten up a bunch of times.

Aside from dumping bags of soiled nappies at children’s nurseries, Taylor also admitted stealing clinical waste bags from one of the nurseries and breaching a prior criminal behaviour order by being within 100m of a nursery without a reasonable excuse. I’m guessing they’ve checked this weirdo’s hard-drive at some point in the investigation?

Jane Foley, prosecuting, said staff at a nursery in Cleadon noticed nappies ‘much larger than the ones they used’ were being dumped on the premises ‘on a fortnightly basis’ and in May 2023, a female member of staff saw Taylor climbing out of one of the bins and running off.

Taylor told police after three incidents in 2023 that she climbed into a nursery’s bin ‘to sleep and find comfort’.

Nick Lane, defending, said Taylor ‘has had a particularly difficult time in custody’ and ‘been subject to a number of physical assaults’. So I guess while some will be outraged that Taylor has been given a suspended sentence and allowed to go free, we also have to keep in mind that there was a year-long jail stint that included several beatdowns.

Lane told the court how Taylor took up jobs while in custody; first in horticulture where ‘he had stones repeatedly thrown at him by prisoners’ (misgendered by your own lawyer? Harsh), then ‘transferred to the library where he lasted half a day before being assaulted’ and would then ‘not leave his cell out of fear’.

Taylor told the court she had no sexual interest in children, and explained that people with a fetish for nappies are simply yearning for an innocent, ‘simpler, more care-free time’. Not sure how that explains climbing into bins and hanging around nurseries with bags of soiled adult diapers, but OK.

Taylor, who will have a GPS monitoring tag, was also ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and 40 days of rehabilitation activity.
