Burn, Baby Burn, Fir Tree Inferno
Next we’re following the fate of an English tree surgeon in 2002. Our hapless protagonist was pruning a fir-tree whilst suspended well above the earth. His plan was to trim the tree and dispose of the waste in a bonfire. Being a time-saving kind of a chap, this unlucky arboriculturist decided to throw the cuttings down from his position within the tree, straight into a fire he’d built at the base. Time saving box, ticked. What he hadn’t really thought about was the fact that he himself was suspended up a large flammable thing.
The whole tree soon took light and so did he. Not a nice way to go at all.
