Cristiano Ronaldo has scored countless incredible goals throughout his career but last night he could possibly have scored the best goal of his career – if he hadn’t shot directly at the keeper.
Ronaldo and Real Madrid were in action in the Club World Cup last night against Mexican side Cruz Azul (a match which they ended up winning 4-0 easily) when Gareth Bale sent a peach of a cross over to Ronaldo, who decided to hit it with a rabona on the half volley. He connected with it sweetly but unfortunately it was right at the keeper, which was a blow as it quite clearly would have been something special. As the commentator says: ‘we would have been seeing that on YouTube a few times’.
We still are to be fair, although not as much as some of these classic rabona goals or this rabona goal scored by someone with Ronaldo on FIFA.
