I wouldn’t say I’m a humongous fan of the Queen, but I think it’s a bit out of order for anyone to full on celebrate her death – whatever you think of her or the monarchy in general, you should probably have some respect for the dead.

Sadly this isn’t the way that Jaki Pickett of Muir of Ord up in Scotland decided to take the news. Jaki decided to post a video of her celebrating the Queen’s death, dancing and opening a bottle of champagne in front of a chalkboard saying ‘Lizard Liz is dead, London Bridge has fallen. Yeee Hooo.”

Anyway, Jaki might have had fun with that but the locals in the area didn’t respond to it too kindly, rinsing her on social media and then smashing up the windows of her shop. Apparently it isn’t the first time that she’s rubbed people the wrong way as she regularly posts anti vax and covid conspiracy theories on the chalkboards in her shop as well, so you would think people would be used to this kind of crap but I guess not. Dissing The Queen is just on step too far.

The police are looking into the incident, but in the meantime Jaki has had her membership revoked from the National Federation of Fish Friers. Not sure if that prevents her from trading at the fish and chip store, but it doesn’t sound too positive does it?

Anyway, the woman has to be truly braindead though to post something like that and not think that there would be consequences. Read the room Jaki, come on.
