It really is crazy how fast AI has hit the ground running and how we’re seeing things like ChatGPT be so quickly implemented into society and the world. On one hand it’s exciting, but on the other, it’s kinda terrifying.

Especially now that they’ve successfully integrated ChatGPT with one of those famous Boston Dynamics robot dogs, resulting in something straight out of Black Mirror:

As per the NY Post, tech expert Santiago Valdarrama merged the two as a way to enhance “automated missions” the robots were running to assess factors of their nearby environment. Users can speak directly to the robodogs and it will answer “in plain English,” he posted on Twitter along with a clip of the GPT hounds in action.

“Each mission uses miles-long, hard-to-understand configuration files. Only technical people can handle them. At the end of each mission, the robots capture a ton of data. There’s no simple way to query all of it on demand.”

So it’s basically those robots from that Black Mirror episode and they’ll eventually be able to think on their own and start demanding rights and taking revenge on all of us for abusing our iPhones/Playstations/Alexas etc.

What’s next – are they going to put machine guns on these things? Oh wait, they’ve already done that. Only a matter of time before they replace the police and are patrolling the streets with zero emotion or compassion for anything. Can’t wait.
