I read the following guff on an American Catholic website, explaining why they bless their pets: “The bond between person and pet is like no other relationship, because the communication between fellow creatures is at its most basic. Eye to eye are two creatures of love. No wonder people enjoy taking their animal companions to church for a blessing. Church is the place where the bond of creation is celebrated.”

The “bond of creation”? Anyway, it makes for some pretty jokes pictures so get a load of these over dressed plums getting intimate with dirty, soulless beasts. If you ask me this whole thing is a mix of pet owners showing off and Catholics trying to seem less straight-laced. Here we go:

I’m sure if you were to ask the Holy Mother Of Jesus, she would say that she hated poodles, they’re too “showy” for Catholicism.
