There’s really nothing Bradley Cooper can’t do at this point. He started off as an actor, then realised he could sing, and then he directed his own film with ‘A Star Is Born’ which was a massive success. So it’s no surprise he’s back in the director’s chair with ‘Maestro’, a love story about musical composer Leonard Bernstein and his wife.

Check out the trailer below:

The trailer has already attracted plenty of controversy, because Bradley Cooper is wearing a prosthetic nose to play a Jewish guy. Which is a bit weird because Leonard Bernstein didn’t even have a big nose:

He’d probably look more like him without the nose? Well, anyway, the usual suspects are up in arms about this on social media, but hopefully it won’t detract from what’s apparently a spectacular film according to test screenings.

I don’t actually think the trailer was particularly strong but there’s enough Oscar hype around it already that I guess we’ll give it a shot when it’s out on Netflix in December.
