‘Being An Influencer Is As Hard As Brain Surgery’ Says Ex On The Beach Star

I’m sure there are a lot of people out there that think being an influencer is completely devoid of talent or hard graft, but I’m not one of them as I think those people spend a lot of time coming up with content and then creating it and it’s probably a lot more trouble than it’s worth. Maybe not if you’re one of the top tier millionaires out there, but you get what I’m saying right?

Anyway, I do however think that it’s a lot easier to become an influencer and maintain that status than it is to become a brain surgeon or nuclear physicist or something similar to that though. Some guy called Tor’i Brooks who was on MTV’s ‘Ex On The Beach’ back in 2012 though disagrees with me and is willing to go on the record with his opinion on the two respective career trajectories:

It is a common misconception that influencers make millions of dollars by taking a few selfies.

That couldn’t be further from the truth.

To constantly come up with content – especially when you are starting out and have little to no guidance – is incredibly difficult.

So in terms of workload, quality and cognitive demand, I would put succeeding as an influencer up there with any academic pursuit including surgery.

Some people might laugh at that but then they’ve never had to stand out from the crowd in an incredibly competitive marketplace.

You are the controller of your own destiny – it’s all in your mind.

If your mindset is you want to quit and give up, then you’re probably going to quit and give up.

But if you’re determined, and you’re persistent enough, you can achieve any goal in your life.

The compounded effect over the course of years will definitely get you to where you need to go.

It’s going to take you further than your wildest dreams can even take you.

Wow what an inspirational guy! I can see why he’s managed to accumulate 58,000 followers since ‘seeing the potential in social media’ back in 2012. I wonder how many brain surgeries all those brain surgeons out there have managed to perform in that time.

In all seriousness though, fair play to this guy for being an influencer and fair play to him for trying to explain to people what it’s really like and how it’s actually a whole load of hard work. I still don’t really think uploading content and selfies or whatever is anywhere near as hard as studying brains for years and then having someone’s life in your hands whilst you’re there on the operating table every single time you get out there though. That’s insane pressure right there and I don’t think Tor’i really appreciates that with stupid comments like this. Maybe I’m wrong but I really don’t think so, gimme a break with this crap.

For more of the same, check out when this influencer got a QR tattooed on his neck and found out it didn’t work. What a numbskull.
