Armed Police Guarding Sadiq Khan Accidentally Left A Bag Of Guns On The Street Outside His Home

Armed police guarding Sadiq Khan left a holdall full of guns on the kerb outside his family home in Clapham, south London.

Inside the duffle bag: an MP5 submachine gun, a Koch Carbine, a Glock 17 pistol with live ammo, and a 50,000-volt Taser. That’s some heavy-duty weaponry!

A pregnant woman spotted the suspicious bag and kicked it to see what it might be. She then went home and alerted her partner, who returned to the location with her and took the bag home, only to discover it was packed with Met Police firearms.

The pregnant lady’s partner, Jordan Griffiths, told The Sun: ‘It was lucky one of the guns inside didn’t go off or else she and our baby due next month could have been shot and killed. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I hate to think what might have happened if any of the people in Clapham had found that bag. It could have been mayhem.’

Griffiths laid the guns out on his bed and took a picture of them with his phone before calling the police, who turned up within minutes (!) to collect them.

The cops told him the luggage had been left by one of Sadiq Khan’s security officers.

Five Met officers have been suspended from frontline duties while the Met launches a full internal investigation.

A spokesperson for the Met said: ‘At around 21:40hrs, a member of the public called police after finding a bag containing Met-issued firearms and a Taser on a street in South London.

‘Within seven minutes of the call officers arrived at the scene and safely recovered the items.

‘We are urgently reviewing the circumstances of this incident and recognise the concern it may cause.

‘At this stage it is believed the bag was misplaced by on-duty officers a short time before the member of the public located it.

‘An internal review was immediately launched into the circumstances.

‘Five officers have been removed from frontline duties while these enquiries remain ongoing.’

Absolute shambles. Just imagine if the wrong person had found that bag? It could have caused untold mayhem and it would all have been the fault of Sadiq Khan’s close protection team. How do you just leave a bag full of lethal weapons outside the Mayor of London’s house, and then completely fail to realise you’ve done so for ages afterwards?

Come to think of it, why does Sadiq Khan even need that much personal security? Boris used to ride around London alone on his bicycle!

Well, I imagine Sadiq Khan probably gets more death threats, to be fair.

In any case, an almighty fvck up on the part of the Met. There are a load of conspiracy theories now doing the rounds about the bag having been left there intentionally, but I reckon these armed guards really are just dopey gits. At least one p45 coming up, IMO.
