Amanda Bynes – there’s a name we haven’t heard in a while. The 36-year-old was one of the brightest young prospects in TV and film throughout the 90s and 00s, starting as a child star for Nickelodeon and eventually landing her very own The Amanda Show from 1999 – 2002.

Like many child stars, Bynes struggled massively with drug use and various mental health/personal problems. Well it turns out she’s been under a Britney Spears-style conservatorship for the last 9 YEARS, but now that it’s come to an end she’s ready to embark on the next stage of her career… as a rapper? Apparently so. Here’s a snippet of her debut track alongside boyfriend Paul Michael:

O…K. Not my cup of tea personally, but I guess it’s not much worse than most of what’s popular today. It’s just amazing to think that this is the same person who starred in The Amanda Show, All That and She’s The Man. Sometimes fame can hit a person so hard and so fast that they go from all-American sweetheart actress…

To emo rapper with face tattoos…

Good luck to Amanda Bynes on the rap career if that’s her focus now. The “after” of child stardom is a tough place indeed (unless you’re Macaulay Culkin, I guess).
