Jameela Jamil Says British People Are ‘The Most Evil In History’

It’s been a while since Jameela Jamil said something to wind everyone up but she’s massively made up for lost time after calling Brits “truly the most evil people in history” in a recent interview.

Jamil, 40, who is from London and is of Pakistani and Indian descent, was discussing her The Good Place character on the Yestergays podcast when she said the following:

“I had to make Tahani more of a b**ch. Americans think British people are so sweet, which is crazy because British people are truly the most evil people in history.

“They are Thanos. Britain is Thanos. They colonised the world. They owe £43 trillion to India.

“British people, especially rich British people, aren’t likeable to anyone, they’re horrible, they’re awful.”

She went on to say that there’s a ‘race war’ happening in the U.K. right now:

“Britain is f**ked. It doesn’t feel as though I’m going back to some haven. There’s literally a race war happening now. Brexit paved the way for American chaos.”

Now look, have the Brits historically done awful things to populations around the world? Of course we have. But I’m not sure self-flagellation for the crimes of our ancestors does anyone much good. Also – most evil people in history?! Come on now, who’s going to tell her about the Belgian Congo?

As for the “if Jameela Jamil doesn’t like it in England why doesn’t she just leave?” argument… well, she has left. She moved to the U.S. all the way back in 2016. Famously a country without any history of slavery or colonisation or exploitation or extermination of indigenous people, of course.
