U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham Has Died At The Age Of 71

U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham has passed away at the age of 71.

His office confirmed in an official statement that the South Carolina Republican died yesterday evening – Saturday, July 11, following a “brief and sudden illness.”

Senator Lindsey Graham was a Trump loyalist widely recognised as one of the most vocally pro-Israel, pro-war and interventionist lawmakers in Congress, which made him a rather unpopular figure worldwide.

Human rights organisations heavily criticised his rhetoric surrounding the conflicts in Gaza and Iran, with some accusing him of promoting “genocidal intent”.

At one point he sparked severe backlash after suggesting Israel could treat Gaza similarly to how the U.S. treated Japan in World War II. He argued that dropping atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was the “right decision” to end the war, implying Israel should be given unrestricted weapons to do whatever necessary to defeat Hamas.

He had also posted on social media that Palestinians in Gaza are “the most radicalised population on the planet who are taught to hate Jews from birth”.

He was fiercely opposed to placing any humanitarian conditions or safeguards on U.S. weapons shipments to Israel, insisting that the U.S. provide unlimited military support regardless of civilian casualties.

Last year, Graham was part of a viral controversy when he was pictured holidaying at Disney World by himself, despite having no wife or kids…

He was seen eating at Chef Mickey’s, riding Space Mountain, and walking through the Tangled section of the Magic Kingdom while holding a toy bubble wand.

Because of his status as a lifelong single man in Washington, many assumed that Lyndsey Graham was a closeted gay man. There were even conspiracy theories that his political loyalties rested on blackmail material which proved he was gay.

He was also averse to the full release of the Epstein files, having received donations from high-profile billionaires whose names were directly linked to the Epstein investigation and flight logs.

Well anyway, none of that matters now because Lyndsey Graham is dead. At 71, he was relatively young for a U.S. senator and not one that anyone expected to pass away anytime soon. From the looks of it online, no one seems particularly unhappy about the news.
