Restore Britain Spokesperson Defends Rupert Lowe: “Rupert Was Clearly Referring To One Incident”
Rupert Lowe went on Joe Rogan the other night and made some valid, interesting points, but also talked a load of nonsense at times, including making a bizarre claim about the Dunblane massacre in 1996.
Lowe told Rogan that guns were banned in Britain after “one murder” in the 90s. In reality, there were seventeen murders – 16 children aged 5 or 6, and one teacher…

A Restore Britain spokesperson has now said: “Rupert was clearly referring to one incident.”
Is that a good enough explanation, though? After all, Joe Rogan even double-checked with him: “One murder?”, to which Lowe replied: “one murder”.
As a politician, Lowe will be fully aware that he needs to be very precise and careful with his words, which makes it even stranger that he didn’t clarify when Rogan presented the opportunity. Millions of people will have seen/heard his comments and will never know that the “one murder” was actually a mass shooting that wiped out 16 schoolchildren and their teacher.
Would Rupert Lowe describe the Southport massacre as “one murder”? Somehow I doubt it.
In the end, he was more concerned about making the point that his dad had his guns taken off him, and how upsetting that was.
At the same time though, it seems almost unbelievable that a guy who hopes to be PM one day would deliberately make light of the death of 16 children. Maybe it would be a good idea for Lowe to come out and clarify his comments himself, rather than get some random lackey at Restore to do it for him.
Elsewhere in the episode, Lowe told Rogan that Sharia courts are operating in England.
